Class Info
Class Descriptions
All classes will begin with a warm-up, then stretch some will have more conditioning time depending on age and genre. Classes will consist of center work, across the floor, and/or a combination. Ballet classes will also incorporate barre work.
*Conditioning will take on the form of traditional push-up, sit-ups, etc., but we also use games, specifically for the younger dancers. So, if you see your 2nd graders playing leapfrog just know that they're using some serious muscles for this activity!
*Dance combinations are often used for 2–3 weeks in each class, adding on each week. This teaches dancers to learn quickly and polish dances. We also have students use improvisation techniques to bring out their inner choreographer! We feel VERY strongly that these techniques encourage overall creativity and provide a fun and athletic outlet for kids!

Dress Code
PLEASE wear a cover-up in and out of the studio! Modesty is the best policy. We do not allow 2 piece practice wear to be worn. We do not buy costumes that are not age-appropriate. We want full coverage of our dancers. Nothing more than a few inches of midriff (if that!) will ever show on an ADA dancer. Tights will be worn most of the time, and plunging necklines and backless costumes can find another studio; we don't buy them!
All PS Dance Classes:
We have a uniform that will need to be purchased at ADA. It is a leotard with an attached tutu pink for PS 3, purple for PS 4. It comes with a teddy bear that is used in most classes. The bear is dressed exactly like your dancer! This is currently $39 for the leotard & dressed bear.
All Ballet Classes:
Black leotard, pink or tan footless tights, PINK ballet shoes (split-soled preferred); pull-on wrap skirts can be worn but are not required; cover-ups will need to be removed after warm-up to check alignment.
